The Office of the Vice President of Strategic Operations oversees Indiana University’s divisions of Strategic Initiatives, Effectiveness and Accreditation, and Enrollment Services.

We promote the excellence and success of our faculty, staff, and students through innovative projects and initiatives that reflect IU’s core principles. We also ensure the business and technology of the university run efficiently and evolve to meet the changing needs of our students and our institution.

University Strategic Initiatives (USI)

USI is tasked with furthering IU 2030: The Indiana University Strategic Plan, to help the entire enterprise push its goals forward. It facilitates dozens of ambitious projects, including the Faculty 100 initiative on the Bloomington campus and the university-wide rollout of Slate high performance storage for research computation.
